Event Description

One week ago, less than 24 hours after Steve Jobs launched Apple's most innovative and distinct marketplace and technology in eight years, Northern Film & Media put up to £40k aside for North East-based companies, or companies wanting to work with North East outfits, to get their ideas into the new marketplace first, and gain that competitive advantage. The iPad Fund has generated global interest, and plenty of questions.

This workshop is designed for all those who want to
a) explore the space of iPad, and how it differs from iPhone;
b) explore the similarities with the explosive iPod Touch market;
c) meet developers who can turn their ideas into working code;
d) meet producers who have great content ideas and could use their coding skills.

There will also be an opportunity to put your questions regarding the Fund to Ewan McIntosh, the NoTosh Limited consultant working with NFM on this project.

1030: Briefing on the Mag+ Case Study
1050: Discussion around potential missed markets and opportunities in the iPod Touch market, and suitability to the new iPad
1110: Q&A regards this fund
1130: Speed Networking for skills and ideas to meet
Opportunity to meet one-to-one with Ewan (please request from me in advance by email)

If you bring ideas with you, no matter how worked up they may be, you are under no obligation to share them. Likewise, there will be no basis for discussion of apps ideas under NDA.

Please request an invite to this event by emailing events@northernmedia.org
