A BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering of people to share and learn in an open environment. It is not so much a conference as it is an “unconferance”. BarCampNortEast2 will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne on the 16th and 17th March 2009.

Hi Chris,

We're running workshops at the Tyneside Cinema on 23rd and 24th September which I thought you may be interested in. They are crossover workshops examining business models afforded by digital technology in emerging media markets, exploring original ideas for cross-platform products and services, and helping participants explore appropriate approaches to building sustainable businesses in the emergent media economy.

If you're interested in some more detailed information, please email festivalassistant@sidf.co.uk

The deadline for applications is September 11th and places are very limited so it's worth applying soon.

Many thanks!
