So is this another one of those situations where a big corporate company get their promotional content made for free? What do people get out of it other than to give their content rights away to Red Bull?

So does BBC I-player work as it now runs on H264? I work in broadcast and on-line delivery and the H264 codec is the future so it makes sense for people to adopt it sooner rather than later. As for Sunderland Council I don't know their IT stage…

All the H264 works fine on the PC's we have tested, biggest problem with flash is that it takes hours to encode so by the time you find a fault you have wasted a lot of time. H264 (MP4) is almost real time and it is what the broadcasters are…

Interesting but I have found flash to be dreadful for quality and upload times, I did loads of tests with on2flix pro and found it virtually un-ueseable, it takes forever to encode and will not handle HDV very well. Mp4 or H264 is far better and…

Hi Gary - sorry to hear about family illness - hope all goes well for you.... Good news about work for you though,...at least the mortgage gets paid eh? haha. - myself, I'm freelancing here and there & presenting to camera/voice overs/ guest lecturing on electrical safety in schools (eh??). Yes, things you do to make an honest buck! Drama 'then/now' sounds intriguing - if a production company picks it up, do let me know, pls. Know some good writers locally too.
Take care - must meet before you head south, eh? Cheers Peter McG.
