The Miners' Hymns

The Miners’ Hymns is an homage in film and music to the coal mining history of North East England, for which Forma initiated a first time collaboration between renowned American filmmaker Bill Morrison and acclaimed Icelandic musician and composer Jóhann Jóhannsson. Collaged from footage excavated from the BFI National Archives and local archives by Morrison, the film is a powerful and poignant evocation of a recent past that is widely forgotten. The Miners’ Hymns celebrates the sense of…See More

So is this another one of those situations where a big corporate company get their promotional content made for free? What do people get out of it other than to give their content rights away to Red Bull?

Hi Joanna,

Nice to virtually meet you. How you doing?
I've just been doing some spring reharvesting on nfmmap.org - honestly v.impressed. Really nicely done. I'm a Yellow seed, and sunflower :] Great work, well done!
Extra impressed as coincidentally my creative business is called Seeded SEO (stands for Search Engine Optimisation), so similar context. Effectively increasing search visibility and helping sites get found by the right people. The seeded part is a metaphor to explain how I help websites and online communities grow sky high in the web world, and to the top of the organic search results. Effectively an online buzzing worker bee.

Actually if you wouldn't mind, please could you let me know who designed and developed the website, and in particular the flash profiler? I'm hoping to get some similar creatives done shortly, to make it clear what some techy buzzwords are.

Best wishes and regards,
Sean

Hello me again, just a follow up comment to my last one below to let you know I've been enjoying the nfm garden map more and noticed the credits link so the maker answer was there to be found, silly me.
I'll be interacting and getting more involved, all making a positive impact on me.
Cheers,
Sean :]
