Welcome Ewan!

CHANNEL 4 digital media commissioner Ewan McIntosh is joining the ranks of Northern Film and Media – a first for a regional screen agency in the UK.

Through his new venture, NoTosh Ltd, McIntosh will join the NFM team helping to develop the digital media sector in the North East by investing in and supporting companies from January 2010.

Skillset TV Freelance Fund

The Skillset TV Freelance Fund has launched its latest CPD funding programme: the Online Learning Funding Programme for 2009/10. The aim of this funding programme is to further the career development of practitioners working in the UK television industry by making a range of courses available to them in an online learning environment.

Hi Roxy. Thanks for this link which is really interesting. Brooklyn Museum are doing great things with social media and there seems to be a great take up for it. I think they only have one guy who manages all their activity, which shows what can be done!

Hi Roxy,

We're running workshops at the Tyneside Cinema on 23rd and 24th September which I thought you may be interested in. They are crossover workshops examining business models afforded by digital technology in emerging media markets, exploring original ideas for cross-platform products and services, and helping participants explore appropriate approaches to building sustainable businesses in the emergent media economy.

The deadline for applications is September 11th and places are very limited so it's worth applying soon.
