Sustain Workshops - Pitching and Crossover workshops in the North East, September 2009:
As part of Skillset North's Sustain programme, we're holding one-day workshops in the North-East region between September 21st and September 24th at the Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle
There are 2 kinds of workshops being held:
- Sheffield Doc/Fest Documentary Pitching Workshops - offering clear preparation for developing your documentary pitches to get maximum attention and investment for your new documentary projects
- Crossover Workshops - examining business models afforded by digital technology in emerging media markets, exploring original ideas for cross-platform products and services, and helping participants explore appropriate approaches to building sustainable businesses in the emergent media economy
These workshops are FREE, but places for this workshop are limited to 10 people for each workshop. To express interest, and for more information, please email Marketplace Producer Charlie Phillips at charlie@sidf.co.uk stating your Name and Company (or if you are freelance), along with a one-page pitch for the project that you'd like to work with at the workshop and a brief CV or biography. Your project can be at any stage of development, for any platform, and any genre as long it is a factual or crossover project.
Deadline for applications – Friday 11th September. Applicants must be based in the Northern Film and Media region. For more information see http://sheffdocfest.com/view/pitchworkshops
